Randolph County deputy behind bars

EARLY CO., GA (WALB) - A Randolph County deputy is now behind bars in Early County.

Sources tell us Deputy Steve Ogle was arrested over the weekend by the GBI in Quitman County where he lives.

He faces several charges including: aggravated assault- domestic violence, false imprisonment, two counts of child cruelty.

Monday night, the Randolph County Sheriff's office confirmed Ogle is now suspended.

They issued this statement-

Randolph County Sheriff Eddie Fairbanks reports that, Steven A. Ogle has been suspended from his duties as a Sergeant at the Randolph County Sheriff's Office.

Ogle is being investigated by the G. B. I. Sylvester office and the Quitman County Sheriff's Office for an incident that occurred Saturday night in Quitman County.

The suspension will continue during the investigation and hearing within 30 days in front of a Superior Court Judge in the Pataula Judicial Circuit.
