TIFTON, GA (WALB) - Workers at a south Georgia hospital are doing more than treating cancer patients, they're raising money to support them and others.Tift Regional Medical Center is hosting its annual Community Spirit Fund raffle.
Prizes include a barbeque grill, washer and dyer set, and things for your backyard.
It will benefit the Cancer Coalition of South Georgia, Tift Regional Medical Center Employee Benevolent Fund and the United Way of South Central Georgia.
Employees say it's a fun way to give back.
"Sure everyone wants something that's going to raise a lot of money. It makes everybody feel good when you do that," said Teresa Hawkins Administrative Assistant.
Last year's event raised $25,00.
This year's goal $40,000.
