LEE CO., GA (WALB) - Almost 100 trees were taken down on one Lee County street.
Pecan trees off of Crotwell Road were knocked down by the storms Saturday.
Residents spent Sunday clearing the mess from their yards.
At least one of them wasn't prepared for the number of trees affected by the storm.
“I was told it was going to be about 6 or 8 trees and come out here and finally look at it and ends up being about 100 trees down. Whatever it was, it knocked down a nice path of trees,” said Garett Matthews, resident.
Matthews said he plans to burn the trees sometime this summer.
