Recycle old and unwanted electronics in Tifton

TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

Georgia Cities Week continues in Tifton with an E-cycling event on Saturday sponsored by Keep Tift Beautiful.

People can drop off old or unwanted electronics, though big screen TV's and large monitors will not be accepted.

Officials say recycling electronics cuts down on pollution and landfill use.

"The idea with recycling is keeping stuff out of the landfill because it's very expensive to maintain landfills and extremely expensive to build new landfills when the current landfill fills up,” said David Hetzel, Organizer

The event will be held in the Cato-Knight Parking Lot from 9 till noon.
