Family of Albany murder victim relieve by indictments

Relatives of an Albany man, murdered more than three years ago, say they are relieved with this week's indictment of four suspects.

Jwana Washington, the sister of Anthony Westbrook, says her family was surprised by the indictment.

Monquez Jackson, Dwayne Britt, and Sade Britt were indicted for murder, armed robbery, and kidnapping.

Prosecutors say they took Westbrook from his home at gunpoint, and shot him execution style at a dump off West Town Road.

Jwana Washington says her family has waited years for closure. "Start the healing process," said Washington. "We just want justice for our brother. For him to be able to rest in peace. To know that we have not rested and we have not forgotten."

Prosecutors say the three knew Westbrook and planned the crime.

A fourth person, Tomeka Porter, was indicted for helping destroy evidence after the murder.
