Three indicted in Albany motel baseball bat attack

Two Albany men and a woman are indicted for the brutal armed robbery and sexual assault on two guests at a Northwest Albany motel.

Marcus Brooks and Tayon Strozier were indicted for armed robbery, aggravated assault, aggravated sexual battery, and false imprisonment. Prosecutors say February 20th the two men attacked Henry Wallace and Mary Smith at gunpoint in their room at the Super 8 Motel, beating Wallace with a baseball bat.

The men pistol whipped Smith and sexually assaulted her.  They stole Wallace and Smith's phones, keys and computers.

Dougherty Attorney Greg Edwards said "They also had drugs and made false statements to the police. Total of 22 counts in this indictment from the events that took place in this particular instance."

Ashley Scott was also indicted in the case, prosecutors saying she lied to them to hide Strozier, and had possession of synthetic spice.  If Brooks and Strozier are convicted, they could face life in prison.
