SUMTER CO., GA (WALB) - The Sumter Payroll Development Authority launched its five-year five raising campaign today.
They're hoping to raise two million dollars that will go toward economic and workforce development, plus marketing and communications, and transportation. Today folks heard from several speakers at Georgia Southwestern.
“We are calling it an investment opportunity for folks because this money is truly ear marked to do good things in the community. Education, transportation, work force development. Those elements that are key to us growing and going into the future,” says Brad LaFevers, General Chairman.
