LEESBURG, GA (WALB) - The Lee Co. High School class of 2012 is mourning the loss of a classmate. Morgan Bass was one of five nursing students killed in a crash Wednesday. They were on their way to a Savannah hospital for their final day of a clinical rotation.

Just last night, a facebook page was created for the 2012 class to remember Bass and other classmates they have lost too soon, and they already have 385 followers.

Taylor Spriggle didn't expect this kind of response. "It's been going non stop since last night, so it's been pretty great."

She created this facebook page to remember Morgan Bass, and others they lost in car accidents and tragedies in their class. "I wanted to make sure I didn't miss an opportunity to get to know everybody again, and know where they are heading in their lives and who they have become since they graduated."

She says it's been a great way for people to cope with the loss of Bass. "To keep up with everybody and kind of lift everyone up in the hard time that we are going through."

Bass was one of five nursing students who died in a crash on the way to their last clinical rotation. "She was a very kind girl, very sweet, so it's obviously very hard for everybody."

Albany Tech Nursing Instructor Annette Holloway says even though she didn't know Bass, it impacts everyone. "Any student that sits in front of you, that has to travel to school, your concerned about them. Anytime something like this happens it impacts anyone who have anything to do with the profession."

And she says they will keep the family in their prayers. "We lift them up in prayer, and our hearts are with them."

She says everyone is welcome to join the page. No word yet on funeral arrangements for Bass.

WSB reports that the driver of the truck involved in the fatal wreck had many violations.
