ALBANY, GA (WALB) - On this Earth Day, the Albany Utility Board has some tips to save energy and money.
Officials said you should change the filters for your A/C and Heating units regularly.
They also suggest using LED lights, reducing your water use and using a programmable thermostat.
"That way you don't have to remember to turn down the air when you're leaving. Turning down the heat when you're leaving. Turning on the air so you can kind of program it and keep the temperatures under control when you're there and when you're not there," said Monique Broughton, Marketing Manager.
The utility board also offers free home audits to help you improve your home's efficiency to lower your utility bills.
