This is crime victims rights week.

There are events and activities happening all week in Albany.

The Dougherty County district attorney's office says there has been an increase in seniors being victimized.

The first plant the seeds of justice event is to bring awareness to seniors and give them the opportunity to hear about services available to them.

Yellow and purple ribbons were passed around and some of the members planted seeds for victims rights.

Tonya Hall with the district attorney's office says "So we thought this would be a perfect way to bring attention to seniors and it would be an honor for them to help plant the seeds of justice."

The plants will be given to victims of crimes or their families at the candle light vigil tomorrow night at litman cathedral on Whitney avenue at 6:30.
