Albany Murder suspect caught in New York

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Police say a man wanted for murder has been captured in New York.

Marquel Rashard Culpepper was waken into custody Wednesday, investigators said.

The 29-year-old known as "Chad" was wanted for felony murder, aggravated assault, and other charges.

Those charges came in the wake of the shooting death of 38-year old Kendrick Miller.

Police said Miller was gunned down in front of the America's Best Value Inn in Albany on April 16th.

The motel's manager said Miller was shot without warning. He also said Miller was from New York, but stayed at the motel often.

Culpepper will be extradited back to Georgia to face his charges.
