Victim identified in Moultrie homicide

MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - Moultrie police and the GBI are working on a homicide investigation.

The victim appears to have been killed overnight, in a car, according to officials.

The GBI said 51-year-old Eddie Jones Harvey, from Doerun, was found dead in a car, parked in front of 319 2nd Street NW Moultrie, around 11:20 Tuesday night.

There was no immediate word on how Harvey died.

Police did receive a call of gunshots in the area, and went to investigate.

No one has been arrested. No motive and no suspects have been named in the case.
