PELHAM, GA (WALB) - A Pelham woman is providing hope for people in need of an organ transplant.
Alisa Frazier has been on dialysis for 20 years.
She was placed on the kidney transplant list in 2010 and finally got a double transplant in February.
Unfortunately, an infection forced doctors to remove one of her new kidneys.
She's optimistic about the other one she nicknamed "baby" and encourages others to become organ donors.
"To want to save somebody else's life off of their three-year-old baby, you know that's a big deal for me. You know that's really a big deal and I thank them whoever they are, and I thank God," Alisa Frazier, Double Kidney Recipient.
Family members are raising money to help with Frazier's medical and travel expenses to Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.
