ALBANY, GA (WALB) - First responders at the Marine Base practiced for a variety of emergencies Tuesday.
Firefighters responded to a fire at the base theater and had to find three missing people as part of Raging Renegade drills.
Other people in the theater required medical attention. The drill keeps firefighters and EMS up to speed on plans for large scale emergencies.
"So you get in a routine of doing certain things and then when you have something out of the ordinary it just kind of throws or everyone for a loop sometimes and it's good to find out during an exercise where your weaknesses are that way we can tweak everything a little bit," said Fire Chief Phillip Partin.
An active shooter drill was also conducted on base.
Response teams from surrounding communities also participated in the drill.
