THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -  Thomasville police are working to get more information about a man accused of holding a gun to a woman's head.

Police responded to the Wood Valley Apartment complex around midnight Monday.

The victim said a man threatened her when she confronted him about a stolen cell phone.

Police say they've stepped up patrols at the complex because of gun-related incidents there.

Lieutenant Maurice Holmes with the Thomasville Police Department said, “It's something that we're working with the community and the residents at that location, as far as building that line of communication to try and get a better understanding and a more proactive approach of addressing the situation.”

If  you can help identify the gunman in this case, call Thomasville Police at 229-227-3302.
