Airmen return from deployment

LOWNDES CO., GA (WALB) -

Around 100 Airmen from Moody Air Force Base are back home after a six month deployment.

The Airmen from the 822nd Base Defense Squadron arrived back on base just after 8:30 this morning, as family and friends were there to greet them.

Two of the Airmen said they are most looking forward to getting to spend some quality time with their families, and especially their young children.

"We're gonna go, right after this, and play with him as much as he'll let me until he takes a nap. Just get away and spend some time getting to know each other again," said Adam Palmer.

"It's hard when you go away for six months. sometimes they react really well and remember who you are and sometimes they don't," said SSgt. Wayne Levan.

The Airmen now get two weeks leave before going back to work.
