THOMAS CO., GA (WALB) - A teenager was arrested and booked into the Thomas County Jail, charged with attacking his pregnant girlfriend.

Deputies said 19-year-old Jacob Dellamaggiore was playing Xbox when he got into an argument with his girlfriend over a picture he posted on Facebook.

The victim said he hit her in the stomach, choked her, and threw her to the ground.

Captain Steve Jones with the Thomas County Sheriff's Office said, “He didn't admit to choking her, but he did admit to slapping her, hitting her in the face.  He admitted that he hit her with an open hand.  And she had the marks to substantiate that, as well as the red marks around her neck from fingerprints.”

Dellamaggiore was granted a $1,000 bond, but is still in jail on a probation hold for a conviction of sexual battery on a child under 16.
