VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Valdosta police were investigating a burglary on Crestwood Circle this morning, and found a wanted man in the process.

VPD had been looking for Christopher Tooley, 33, since March 11, in connection with a shooting incident outside a convenience store at North Forrest Street and Ricardo Drive.

People in two vehicles fired guns at each other, and a 15 year old girl was shot in the face, and an adult was hit in the shoulder as a result.

Christopher Tooley was wanted on multiple outstanding arrest warrants from that case: Two counts of aggravated assault, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, and Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony.

One of the people involved in the March 11th gunfire was Deshay March, who was shot in the shoulder.

March barricaded himself inside an apartment on Ponderosa Drive, and after a short standoff, March gave up. March was taken to the hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound that he had suffered during the original altercation.

Amber Jackson, 24, who lived in the apartment where March was hiding was arrested for Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer and Possession of a Sawed-off Shotgun.

March has charges pending for Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, Tampering with Evidence, and Felony Possession of Marijuana.
