VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Valdosta Police are looking for Ervin Robinson, who they say fired a pistol from the backseat of a car, injuring 22 year old Kenyetta Johnson at 2:30 Monday morning.
Johnson is the sister of Kendrick, who died three years ago at Lowndes County High, and who has been the subject of numerous protests and lawsuits.
The incident happened at 600 East Hill Avenue, as Johnson was sitting in the front passenger seat of the car, while Robinson was handling a pistol in the back,
The gun fired, and Johnson was struck in the back. The driver took Johnson to South Georgia Medical Center and dropped her off at the hospital. The hospital notified law enforcement authorities that a gunshot victim had come into the hospital.
Officers found the car and a man who was in it in the 900 block of Ponderosa Drive. They took warrants for Reckless Conduct and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon against Robinson.
