Change of command at Albany Composite Squadron Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
A change of command took place Monday night for the Albany Composite Squadron Civil Air Patrol Cadet program.
Tweny-one year old Frederick Broome relinquished his title as Cadet Commander to 17-year-old Anthony Chase-Hill.
Broome led the cadet training program for three years during which it grew from six cadets to 30.
He believes it will continue to grow.
"So it's just been awesome, I'm getting ready to hand this over to Cadet Chase-Hill now. I trust him a lot and I look forward to seeing where he's going to take it and see how he can make it grow even more,” said Cadet Lt. Col. Frederick Broome Outgoing Cadet Commander
"I feel confident in my abilities because as I've been progressing through this program, I've had great leaders to help mold me into the leader I am today,” said Chase-Hill , Incoming Cadet Commander.
The Civil Air Patrol also recognized Captain Jay Jordan Monday night.
He's retiring after 10-years of service.
