ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany's Wynfield Park in received this year's Tree Stewardship Award.
Keep Albany Dougherty Beautiful and the Albany Tree Board presented the award for their efforts to plant and protect trees around their campus.
Certain types of trees were chosen for the urban area that urban setting.
"For them to be able to enjoy outside time and be able to view from their room," said Chris King.
"Again a big thanks to everyone that had a part in what Wynfield Park is now," said Kim Hodges.
The Albany Tree Board selects a recipient for the community tree stewardship award every year.
