BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) - Bainbridge Public Safety got a tip that a suspected drug dealer was in the Bainbridge area driving a gray vehicle with a Florida tag on Saturday.

When officers saw the suspect, Dontavious Devario Hicks, he sped up and ran a stop sign at the intersection of Columbia and West Streets. Hicks turned onto Fountain Drive, a dead-end street, and jumped out and took off running when he ran out of road.

Officers John Walker, Trey Mock, Jack Bunting, and Rusty Day arrested Hicks, and seized an ounce of crack cocaine, an ounce of marijuana, over $400 in cash, and drug related objects.

Hicks,  24, lives on Fowlstown Road in Bainbridge, and is charged with Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Related Objects, and several traffic related violations.
