Murder suspect also guilty of armed robbery

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  Taiun Davis is one of four men charged with robbing Willie Tift, Jr. at an apartment complex on Moultrie Road. He was found guilty and sentenced to 30 years in prison, with 20 to serve without parole, this morning.

Davis yelled curses and caused a fracas when he was sentenced, and was hauled away by court bailiffs. That caused the family of the victim to become upset in the courtroom.

Dontavious Calloway and James Tanner, Jr. were also charged in the case, but have not gone to trial.

Taiun Davis has a bigger court date with the state, when they try him for the murder of James Anderson.

The 7th grader at Radium Middle School was shot and killed at a duplex on Mercedes Street in September of 2011, and Davis was charged with that crime as well.
