APD issues murder suspect's name

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

 

 A manhunt is underway tonight in Albany for a murder suspect... accused of gunning down a man last night at a Northwest Albany motel.

Friday Police took out murder warrants against 29-year old Marquel Culpepper, who is known by the name Chad.  

Police say he shot 38-year old Kendrick Miller outside the office at America's Best Value Inn.

The motel manager says a man ran up and shot Miller without warning, and then ran away.  

That manager tells us Miller was from New York but stayed at the motel often.

Marquel Rashad Culpepper, 29, has a last known address of 3103 Fernridge Drive in Albany. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Culpepper is 5' 09" and weighs 163 pounds.
