Furry friends visit seniors in Albany

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A furry team put smiles on some faces Thursday

The PAWS Patrol visited seniors at Morningside of Albany.

The group consists of about 20-teams that go to about 20-sites every month.

These dogs sure love what they do and they're good at it.

They can calm patients and even lower their blood pressure.

It takes a special dog to join the patrol.

"Every dog is not cut out to do this. They have to be trained. They have to pass an evaluation as we do in order to do this sad,” Linda Prisant, Paws Patrol Calendar Coordinator.

The patrol is always looking for more team members.

The group will host a workshop for interested candidates May 30th.
