ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A unique career fair tonight at the Albany Civic Center.
Dozens of representatives with Albany Tech were there for the first ever Career Transitional fair.
It's a partnership between the city and the technical college to help workers looking to start a new career.
City officials say many people retire from their primary career pretty early but still want to work.
"And that's exactly true but they don't know how to do it and they might be afraid about starting that new career you know since they are older and this event will provide them with that information and put them in a comfortable position," says Bryan Bartholomew.
""It's very helpful and it just caught my eye and I ran right down here," says Annie Jackson-Williams.
The fair will be open again Saturday from 10 to noon.
