ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Dougherty County Police and Code enforcers are you not to use unlicensed and uninsured workers.
A truck and car extensively damaged yesterday, when a tree cutter dropped a huge limb on them on Branch Road.
Police say neighbors hired Albert Mills to cut a tree in their yard.
Officers say Mills does not have a business license or insurance, a problem they say is common.
"We want the people out here, if you are going to hire someone to do some work around your house, you need to make sure for one they have a business license, and that their license is insured. Because if you have incidents happen like this , then you can become liable through your insurance, or you can be sued civilly," said DCP Captain Thomas Jackson.
Mills was cited by Code Enforcement for working without a business license.
