ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany restaurant raises money for an 8-year-old girl battling Cystic Fibrosis.

Austins Firegrill and Oyster Bar hosted "Colleens Crusaders Night."

The restaurant donated 10% of their proceeds to help Colleen Hood who was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when she was 15-months-old.

The owner is a longtime friend of the family and says it's important to help.

"To see where she's come and what she's done and how well she's gotten and the treatments are working it's a no brainer for me to be able to help financially and within the community to help that organization and Colleen,” said Austin Newman, Owner of Austin's Firegrill & Oyster Bar.

Hood will donate money raised by her “Colleen's Crusaders” team to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation during their Great Strides Walk Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Riverfront Park.
