THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -  Folks in Thomasville have found a creative way to recognize people who make a difference in the community.

Everfan, a cape company based out of Thomasville, has partnered with Hands on Thomas County and other businesses to honor local heroes as part of National Superhero Day.

On April 28th, Everfan will personally deliver capes to each hero.

Everfan CEO and Founder Scott Chastain said, “It's not a trophy, and it's something you can kind of laugh at.  But it seems to bring a different kind of joy and it's a fun way to recognize people.”

Anyone can purchase a Hero Recognition Bag for $25, which includes a custom superhero cape and button, and coupons from Fallins Barbeque, Longhorns, and Horne Candy Company.

Heroes will also be invited to a superhero after party at Grassroots Coffee.

A portion of each purchase will be donated to Hands on Thomas County.

The deadline to purchase a bag is Friday, April 17th.

You can send your order to amanda@everfan.com or call (229)234-1222.
