Crop duster makes impressive emergency landing

AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - A South Georgia man made an impressive emergency landing while crop dusting in Michigan. Deke Walker landed his plane in the middle of a highway after the engine failed.

Walker said many of the fields in the area were too wet to land in safely. A lot of the roads were busy with traffic, but he was able to find a safe spot with few power lines.

"My choice was to set it down on the road and it happened to be no traffic in that area and that was my choice," said Deke Walker.

Walker has been crop dusting for 49 years and said emergency landings like this are just part of the job.
