When they got to Walmart, they found Dickie McLendon with a quantity of methamphetamine packaged for sale, a quantity of Valium, Lorcet, Methadone, all packaged for sale, and Ecstasy, as well as a quantity of marijuana.
They called the Douglas – Coffee Drug Unit, who charged McLendon with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute Lorcet, Methadone, and Valium, possession of Ecstasy and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
Then, Douglas – Coffee HEAT units stopped a vehicle occupied by Kathy Ladell Ashworth and Kinte Jawan Green at the Days Inn in Douglas. During the traffic stop, officers found cocaine, and Ashworth and Green were arrested for possession of cocaine.
Saturday, Coffee deputies initiated a traffic stop on Brooks Ave in Douglas on a vehicle occupied by Kenyotta Jasmilla Carswell and Chelstey Jeanette Moore. They found marijuana, cocaine, and Tramadol.
DCDU arrested Carswell and Moore for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession Tramadol.
All five suspects were taken to the Coffee County jail.
