AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - A woman continues to fight a rare form of cancer. Cassandra Robinson was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic lymphoma in 2012.
She's spent much of the past 3 years in and out of the hospital. She says the fight has been exhausting, but she holds out hope for healing.
"It's a rare condition. It's something that my doctors have told me that could not be cured or healed but I'm a firm believer on faith and I stand on God, and I trust in God's Word," said Robinson.
This Sunday at 4, there will be a basketball tournament at Americus-Sumter High School South campus to raise money for her medical expenses.
