ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany State is the latest college to promote a deal for out of state students. Every University System college in our part of the state can now offer in-state tuition rates to residents in Florida, South Carolina, and Alabama.
ASU leaders say many students from these states previously turned down coming to ASU due to tuition costs.
"So waiving that cost is going to be really huge for them and a great opportunity to now have them come and be a part of the albany experience here on campus," said Albany State University Associate Provost Dr. Paul Bryant.
The new tuition rule goes into effect at 10 colleges for fall semester.
