A Lee County woman is reunited with her dog four years after it disappeared.
Reunited and it feels so good. Cell phone video captures Tuesday's emotional reunion between Jamie Brannon and her six year old Chihuahua, Miley.
"It was very emotional. Like I just told myself I wasn't going to cry and then I saw her and of course I started crying because she didn't really know me," said Jamie Brannon, owner
Brannon said Miley was stolen not once, but twice from her Grandparent's home four years ago.
" I just thought she was gone you know. I didn't know if she was with somebody or if she was dead somewhere or what,” said Brannon.
Two women from Sylvester found Miley two weeks ago near U.S. 82 in Sylvester.
The women posted a picture of Miley on PeanutsFriends, a southwest Georgia based website that helps people find their lost pets. Brannon happened to be on the site when she came across a surprise.
"I scrolled back up real fast and I was like that's my dog right there,” continued Brannon.
Tuesday, Brannon met her dog's rescuers in Worth County face-to-face and said she is thankful for their help.
The site is now updated with this picture of Miley saying "Owner Found."
Brannon said Miley quickly re-adjusted to the family and was happy to be back with her six year old brother..Doodle.
“It was definitely meant to be. I'm sure God had something to do with it. It's a miracle,” said Brannon.
Sometimes, miracles do happen.
Brannon encourages others who find stray animals to use Peanuts Friends.
