CRISP CO., GA (WALB) - A man is in the Crisp County jail charged with breaking into nearly a dozen cars. Investigators said 19-year-old Chris Bagley broke into 10 cars in two neighborhoods in the county.
Bagley is also charged with at least one break-in in the city of Cordele, but numerous other charges could be coming. Officials said making arrests like this can prevent more serious crimes in the future.
"They take the stolen merchandise; they sell it on the street. They trade it for drugs. Guns that are stolen, they wind up getting in the wrong hands to commit crimes," said Sgt. Ben Bray with the Crisp County Sheriff's Office.
Bagley was given a $27,000 bond for the entering auto, theft by taking, and theft by receiving stolen property charges. He is also charged with parole violation and was denied bond for that.
