BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) - Four people remain in custody after Bainbridge Public Safety officers said one suspect tried to hide more than a pound of marijuana in a neighbor's apartment.
Tuesday morning, officers arrested Barry Crawford, Jamison Taylor, John Ware, and Aundrea Rhyme after finding the drugs in a car during a traffic stop.
They later determined the drugs came from an apartment on Lord Avenue.
Investigator Chip Nix said, “We went back to the apartment. And when we did, one of the occupants of the apartment ran out the door with a book bag and actually tried to hide it in the apartment that's adjacent to it. Then he took off running in the woods.”
All four suspects are charged with drug possession.
Investigators said the marijuana confiscated has a street value close to $5,000.
