Half a hundred want to run Albany

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany city commissioners are getting very close to naming a new city manager.

Commissioners Tommie Postell, Bob Langstaff, and John Howard and interim city manager Tom Berry met in executive session today to look over the more than 50 applications they have received for the job.

Commissioners plan to meet again next week to select three finalists they plan to interview.

"Then we will come up with three of those to bring back to the commissioners at our next regular meeting," said Commissioner Tommie Postell.

The city commission's next meeting is scheduled in two weeks on April 21st.
