GRADY COUNTY, GA (WALB) - Two people were taken to the hospital after a car crashed into the back of a log truck on Highway 84 in Grady County, Tuesday morning.
State troopers say 41-year-old Timothy McCullough, was driving a log truck on Upper Hawthorn Trail and crossed over the eastbound lanes of the highway.
The truck driver stopped in the median with its back end sticking into the roadway.
The driver of a white Buick was not able to stop in time and crashed into the truck.
Corporal James Miller said, “They did have to them cut out of the vehicle using the Jaws of Life. I believe at this point, there were charges already on the tractor trailer driver on failure to yield the right of way.”
The driver of the Buick, 54-year-old Jerry Simpson and the passenger, 28-year-old Douglas Simpson, were conscious when EMS transported them to the hospital.
