Valdosta woman charged with stabbing husband

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Larry Brown, 62, was stabbed in the chest last night, and Valdosta Police say his wife did it.

About 8:30 Monday night, the Valdosta Police Department went to assist EMS at 924 McAfina Trail on a medical call. They found Larry Brown bleeding from his chest area.

Officers tried to question Brown's wife, Tina Brown, and their 15 year old daughter, but initially, neither would answer any questions.

Mrs. Brown, 50, later admitted that she and her husband had been using drugs and arguing all day, and that she stabbed him with a kitchen knife.

Mrs. Brown was transported to the Lowndes County Jail, while the Department of Family and Children Services placed the  daughter with relatives.

Mr. Brown was transported to SGMC, where he underwent surgery for his injury.

Tina Brown is charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Knife During the Commission of a Crime, Tampering with Evidence, and Cruelty to Children in third Degree.
