VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Valdosta Police were trying to figure out who shot at a juvenile as he was walking down the street.
Valdosta Police Lt. Aaron Kirk said Ronald Welsch was walking in the 700 block of Habersham Road, just before 6:00 Monday evening, when he noticed a black Ford car coming up behind him, and it made him suspicious.
"He told officers that he started walking a little faster, and then he noticed when he looked back, that the passenger side window was being rolled down," said Lt. Kirk. "He took off running and, according to him, he heard multiple shots being fired."
No one was injured, and nothing was hit by the gunfire.
Lt. Kirk added that it was still unclear Tuesday morning if Welsch was the target, or was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
