TIFTON, GA (WALB) - A new painting highlighting a piece of Tifton's history will hang inside Tifton City Hall.
Kaycee Brown unveiled her painting "Squire and Evelyn in the Park" at tonight's city council meeting.
It features the stone arch in Fulwood Park constructed by Brown's Grandfather W.P. Brown, Senior in 1934.
It also shows her parents, former Mayor "Squire" Brown and his wife Evelyn enjoying a stroll in the park.
"I want it to serve in their memory, but I also want it to be something that serves to recall memories for everyone who grew up here, and has memories of birthday parties or other events at Fulwood Park, or even of driving through the arch," said Kaycee Brown, Painter.
Brown started working on the painting about a year and a half ago and donated it to the city Monday night.
