ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Weather is getting warmer which means it's a good time to get your A/C units checked.
Parker Heating and Air says servicing your unit twice a year can save you money in the long run.
Turn on your unit before the temperature gets to high to make sure it's working efficiently.
Change the filter monthly.
Make sure the bushes around the outdoor units are trimmed.
"If it has all that growth around it, it can't breathe. This area around here we have a lot of pine needles and leaves and stuff like that. Make sure they're off that unit. Make sure it's clean so it can work properly," said Dale Davis with Parker Heating and Air.
Davis also suggests using a programmable thermostat to regulate the temperature.
