ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A man and woman found guilty in the stabbing murder of another man in a motel room were sentenced to life in prison, with the possibility of parole Monday afternoon.
Lewis Floyd Jr. was charged with murder and the possession of a knife during the commission of a crime. Prosecutors said he killed William Jackson in a room at the Dollar Inn on North Slappey Boulevard on August 14, 2013.
The jury deliberated for five hours before returning the verdict.
Tara Harrell was also convicted on felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a knife during commission of a crime.
