ALBANY, GA (WALB) - There is a new attraction at Chehaw.
The Wild Animal Park now has two Guatemalan beaded lizards on exhibit.
It's one of the most endangered lizard species in the world and one of only two types of venomous lizards.
"They live a significant portion of their life underground, so we have a nice big exhibit thats got some deep sides and some steep walls to it," said Ben Roberts, Zoological Manager.
Chehaw is one of only two zoos in the country to house beaded lizards.
They're on loan from the Guatemalan government through Zoo Atlanta as part of a conservation program.
