BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) - A huge verdict in a south Georgia wrongful death suit.
Thursday night, a Decatur County jury awarded 150 million dollars to the family of a 4-year-old boy killed in a crash.
Jurors ruled Chrysler acted with reckless disregard for human life in selling the Jeep Grand Cherokee with a gas tank mounted behind the rear axle.
It exploded when a pickup truck hit it from behind in March 2012 killing 4-year-old Remington Walden.
Jurors ruled Chrysler was 99-percent at fault for his death and the pickup driver was 1 percent at fault.
Chrysler maintains the Jeeps are not defective and plans to appeal.
