Neighborhood Watch sets new meeting

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - If you are concerned about crime on your street, Albany's Neighborhood Watch council will meet Saturday morning.

The Council on Community Watches Association will meet at the Albany Police Law Enforcement Community Room Saturday from 10:00AM to 11:00AM.

Organizers want people across the community to join a neighborhood watch, and to keep them working together.

"It is difficult to do. Everyone has their jobs and their families to tend to. And if you don't have these regular meetings, and stay in touch with everybody, it kind of falls through the cracks in the floor, so to speak," said Chuck Mitchell, CCWA President.

The Albany city wide Council on Community Watches will meet at 10:00 AM Saturday at the Law Enforcement Center.

Organizers hope to cover all the city with neighborhood watches to fight crime.
