THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -  A man suspected of firing a shotgun at a Thomasville apartment is behind bars.

Marcus Johnson, 26, was arrested Tuesday night in Thomas county.

Investigators said Johnson fired into a unit at the Wood Valley Apartment complex with children inside Saturday night.

Officers said Johnson wasn't surprised when they showed up at his girlfriend's apartment to arrest him.

Lieutenant Maurice Holmes with the Thomasville Police Department said, “He was sitting on a couch in a living room, and his response was, 'Yes, I'm here.  I'm the one who y'all have been looking for.  I'm the one on TV'.”

Johnson is charged with three counts of aggravated assault and two gun violations.
