THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Police warn parents to keep a close eye on their kids' online activity, after a Thomasville man was accused of tricking children into recording sex acts on webcams.

44-year-old James Hancock is charged in an international child pornography ring, involving six other men in America and South Africa.

Federal prosecutors say the men created accounts on YouTube pretending to be teenagers.

"Parents need to monitor all of their children's online activity. All of it. Simple being, there are numerous predators out there," said Lt. Maurice Holmes of the Thomasville Police Department.

Police say most kids have a false sense of trust on the internet and need to be more careful.
