State Troopers remind drivers to drive safely during Spring Break

State Troopers are encouraging drivers to drive safely on the roads as they head home from their Spring Break destinations.

Troopers say more drivers are on the roads as the weather gets warmer.

Their checking for DUI's texting while driving speeding and not wearing your seatbelt.

“When you feel like you're being rushed out here of course then you are more ample to speed which then causes safety issues for you and the other motoring public. So, with the warmer weather all of these factors come into play people are out on the roadway more than what they typically are,” said Sr. Trooper Dan Avery, Georgia State Patrol.

Troopers are encouraging those who are thinking about drinking to have a designated driver.
