ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A major food chain is raising money for a South Georgia animal shelter.
Chick-fil-a collected donations from customers to benefit the Albany Humane Society. The donations will be used for their new adoption center and helping out with medical expenses for the animals.
Workers with the Humane Society say they're grateful for the support.
"We're very excited and very appreciative of them allowing us to come out here and bring our dogs and help us raise money to find homes for these babies," said Reva Moreno, Caretaker.
The Albany Humane Society has about 100 dogs that need loving homes. If you missed today's event you can still drop off donations at the Albany Humane Society.
